First Meet Up of the UK Bodysurfing Association

Saturday 3rd December 2016 – at Watergate Bay, Newquay.

The first Meet Up of the UK Bodysurfing Association went ahead, giving the chance for members and ourselves to meet up for the very first time, exchange chat, and compare techniques/skill levels. We all had a fantastic time!

The waves ended up being surprisingly good (given the small swell we’d been forecast earlier in the week), certainly useable, and coming in very clean with a period of about 11 seconds. Sea temperatures remain reasonable for this time of year too, at around 12C, although 2 hours in the water was just about enough for all of us for one session!

We’re all looking forward to the next Meet Up, when maybe the waves will be even bigger!
