The UK Bodysurfing Association CIC welcomes the sponsorship of WAW Handplanes for another year at this year’s BamBooBay UK Bodysurfing Championships 2021.

The UK Champs are making a name in supporting sustainable manufacturers wherever it can, already sponsored by BamBooBay makers of quality sustainable clothing.

It is a pleasure to have WAW involved again. WAW Handplanes themselves manufacture handplanes from sustainable timbers, as well as utilising Yulex pure bio plant based rubber for adjustable hand straps.

Their newest edition to the range is the WAW Badfish which they proudly produce from recycled ocean plastics.

WAW Handplanes was founded by Devon man Rikki Gilbey and although based in Sydney, Australia are supporting the UK Champs for the 3rd time in recent years!

Incidentally, WAW stands for wave after wave and large ones are what the Championships are hoping for!

The BamBooBay UK Bodysurfing Championships 2021 take place over the weekend of 4-5th September, at Fistral Beach, Newquay, Cornwall. Further details about how to enter will be published on social media and online in due course.
