About Bu Sands
Bu Sands is situated on the Orkney Islands (off northern Scotland), the main entry point is via the nearby airport at Kirkwall. Once you have got there Bu Sands offers a long sandy beach facing to the east. Head to the middle of the beach to avoid submerged rocks.
- Faces east
- Wet suit necessary, including hood, gloves and slippers in winter
- Cold sea temperatures
- Very limited facilities
