The UK Bodysurfing Championships C.I.C. are stoked that Korev Cornish Lager and the Fistral Beach Bar are again sponsoring their Championships this year.

Working together closely with UK Pro Surf (who provide much of the infrastructure for the event) the UK Bodysurfing Championships 2018 will again take place at world renowned Fistral Beach, Newquay, over the weekend of 22nd-23rd September.

It is anticipated that there will be more events for bodysurfers this year than last (we plan to hold competitions for those using handboards and competitions for those who prefer not to). Of course, competitors will be allowed to enter both competitions if they so wish.

Both competitions are open to bodysurfers from all around the world, and the UK Bodysurfing Association C.I.C. (who is a member of the Euro Bodysurf Association) also welcomes entries from fellow member countries.

There will be the opportunity to observe the bodysurfing “as it happens” from the comfort of the Fistral Beach Bar balcony, where lunch can also be taken. If you’ve never seen this sport practiced to the highest standards this is your chance. Modern innovations such as handboards and waterproof cameras have really made the extreme sport of bodysurfing a spectacle.

The events are timed to occur in and around the high tide, also aiding the viewing spectacle.

Fistral Beach

Thanks to Korev Cornish Lager and the Fistral Beach Bar, everyone who’s around can also chill out afterwards in the Fistral Beach Bar, have a drink and something to eat whilst watching the prize givings take place.
