Following their affiliation with Surfing England earlier this year, the UK Bodysurfing Association CIC and Surfing England recently got together in Braunton to hold their inaugural meeting.

Surfing England, now the National Governing Body (NGB) for Surfing in England, also look after other water based sports – including Bodysurfing!

The meeting was well attended with representatives from both sides sitting around the table; discussions were led by Hannah Brand for Surfing England and Andy Bodenham for the UK Bodysurfing Association CIC.

Although it’s early days, plans are being prepared to work together much more in 2021, in particular for holding the UK Bodysurfing Championships 2021. There are also plans to develop a national Bodysurfing event sometime in the near future, so keep an eye out for further announcements!
