The directors of UK Bodysurfing Championships C.I.C. are very pleased to announce that Slyde Handboards are to be their key sponsor for the inaugural UK Bodysurfing Championships 2017. This inaugural event is to be held at Fistral Beach, Newquay over the weekend of 16-17th September.

 

The event will now be known as the Slyde Handboards UK Bodysurfing Championships.

Slyde Handboards, based in southern California, are one of the fastest growing manufacturers of handboards in the world. Their ideas for a business were presented to Shark Tank (the US equivalent to Dragons Den) just a few years ago, and their business has really blossomed thereafter following a successful pitch. They have not looked back, and it is a great privilege to have them on board with us.

This partnership  ensures that all competitors in the Slyde Handboards UK Bodysurfing Championships will have Bula Handboards available (for use in the heats, semi-finals and final), thus ensuring a level playing field for all.

Slyde have also kindly donated 2 Carbon Bula Handboards as prizes for the winner and runner up. These handboards are top of the range handboards and come complete with attachments for utilising waterproof cameras.

All potential competitors from the UK will need to become members of the UK Bodysurfing Association first via the Membership page, but can also register early interest via the contact form, and any international competitors who are interested can similarly get in touch this way.

In this inaugural year there will only be 12 competitors taking part from the UK with 4 wildcards from abroad, so please register your interest soon, or join now.
