Bodysurfing Courses at Bude or Bantham

Summary of Release Agreement - Information regarding Parties

The primary released party is all "Bodysurfing UK" bodysurfing participants. The "Bodysurfing UK" proprietor is Andy Bodenham.

The Courses

The Releasing Party will participate in "Bodysurfing UK" bodysurfing courses, which are generally held at either Sandymouth beach, near Bude, north Cornwall or Bantham, near Kingsbridge, south Devon (both beaches have the benefit of lifeguard protection from March to September). Courses are held in the open ocean, and as such are subject to strong surf, rip currents, and other standard dangers associated with ocean swimming and the specific sport of bodysurfing.

The Release will describe the risks involved as follows:

It is fully understood by each of the undersigned that there is some inherent risk associated with these courses, specifically including, but not limited to; drowning, hypothermia and such like; any personal injuries resulting from waves or collisions with rocks; personal injury or death to the participant; also damage to any equipment and materials that may be used at and during the courses.

The undersigned certifies that he or she also fully understands that "Bodysurfing UK" cannot be held responsible for death or injury resulting from any course advice/instruction given.

In addition to the standard representations, the Release will contain the following representation that the Releasing Party will make:

The undersigned certifies that all participants are experienced swimmers, have no undeclared illnesses or disabilities, and are also physically fit.
